What your day will look like
After arriving at The Bear Grylls Adventure, you’ll be greeted by our Admissions team who will get you all checked in. After presenting your order number, we will run you through what to expect during your action-packed day.
When booking, you’ll select your activity start time and reserve your space. We recommend that guests arrive around half an hour before their first activity start time to allow time to check in, put away their belongings and get ready for their activities.

After getting briefed from our expert instructors, you’ll head out onto the range where you’ll take on the targets. Once you’ve tested your aim, we’ll encourage your competitive side with some games and extra challenges. Get to grips with bow and arrow in an experience that’s ideal for beginners and experts alike.

At 65ft tall, this is the tallest high ropes course in Europe, and rewards those brave enough to reach the top stunning views of the surrounding area. With its free roam structure, you can create your own adventure on the course, and select which of the 36 obstacles you take on, from the simple rope bridges to the challenging rolling log on the course’s top level.
As the only outdoor activity, the High Ropes is made all the more challenging by the British weather, which of course is never predictable! In true Bear Grylls fashion, rain won’t stop this adventure, and extra layers are recommended when taking on this activity.

The Bear Grylls Adventure Climb challenge is inspired by some of the most breath-taking peaks from around the world, with over 20 routes to challenge yourself on inspired by El Capitan, Fontainebleau and more. Get briefed in our Everest mountain hut before you push, pivot and pull your way to the summit. Nothing else matters but the step ahead of you.

Take the leap and get ready to feel the rush of free fall in The Bear Grylls Adventure indoor wind tunnel.
Learn all the positions, hand signals and tips in the aircraft hangar briefing room before stepping into the wind tunnel. In there, a minute can feel like a like a lifetime. Be bold, trust your instincts and enjoy the rush twice with two 1 minute flights. Your expert iFLY instructor will be by your side throughout as you experience the awesome sensation of free fall flight.

Our Royal Marines-inspired Assault Course is a range of obstacles that will challenge guests as they race against their friends. Obstacles include scramble nets, monkey bars, traverse beams and a-frames.
Unlimited access to the Assault Course is included in every ticket, and there is no need to book ahead of time for this activity.

Travel beneath the waves for an unforgettable adventure with The Bear Grylls Adventure Snorkel experience.
You’ll discover the wonders of a tropical reef, home to over 1,000 species of weird and wonderful tropical creatures. You’ll be kitted out by Bear’s pro dive team, before submerging into the blue. You’ll get up close and personal with the likes of Blacktip Reef Sharks and Cow Nose Rays, with nothing but a snorkel cage between you and the tank’s remarkable aquatic inhabitants.

Your expert instructor will teach you how to handle the range’s air pistols and rifles, before you let fly for 30 minutes of shooting action. Focus on the target, keep your cool and pull the trigger as you blast your way through a series of targets.

Due to the nature of our activities, pregnant guests are not permitted to take part in any of our experiences at The Bear Grylls Adventure. How do I get there?
The Bear Grylls Adventure is accessible by car, train or plane. We are located at The NEC in Birmingham, just moments away from Birmingham International Station and Birmingham Airport.
From the city centre, it would be best to hop on a train from Birmingham New Street (Grand Central) to Birmingham International, which would take only 10 minutes.
Will I need to sign any sort of waiver before taking part in experiences?
Please be assured that all waivers can be completed on the day at our admissions desk. You may review waivers ahead of time here: www.beargryllsadventure.com/restrictions . If you’re taking part in iFLY or Dive, please be sure to read over the activity specific waivers for each experience before your visit.
What do I wear?
We recommend that guests come along in comfortable clothing they can move easily in - gym wear and trainers is usually best. For health and safety reasons, we can’t allow guests to take part in activities wearing sandals, flip flops or heels.
For those taking part in Dive or Snorkel, we do ask that you bring along your own swimming costume and towel - we will provide the wetsuit and all breathing equipment.
