    Virtual Glastonbury Festival 2020 guide

    1 July 2020

We're already missing The Glastonbury Experience from last weekened. The fantastic coverage helped us get through the weekend, when we would normally be singing in a field.

We picked out our top 5 must see performances that are available on the BBC iPlayer for you to watch

If you're going to choose any performances to watch back, make it these...

    5. Adele - 2016
It between her record amount of swearing on the Pyramid Stage, there was the most beautiful sing-a-long Worthy Farm has seen in a very long time. Watching the full set it is impossible not to love Adele. It was heart warming, it was wholesome, it was authentic, and it's enough to give you goosebumps. Starting with "Hello" to greet the Glastonbury crowd, Adele owned the stage for 90 minutes, silencing any of the doubters saying she couldn't headline Glastonbury.
    4. The Killers - 2019
Indie heroes with their anthemic songs have played the festival more times than we can remember, but it's their latest performance in 2019 that is one of those special Glastonbury moments. We had a tease of what was to come from their 2017 secret set in the John Peel tent, however Brandon Flowers and co delivered a magical performance on the Pyramid, with a setlist spanning their hit filled career. Bringing out the Pet Shop Boys to perform Always on My Mind, and Johnny Marr for a version of the Smiths’ This Charming Man, is the icing on the cake. Come on!
    3. Beyonce - 2011
Following her husband, JAY-Z's huge 2008 headline slot Queen B delivered the ultimate pop experience in 2011. With “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”, “Crazy in Love” and a medley of Destiny Child songs wrapping up the show.
    2. Pulp - 2005
When The Stone Roses pulled out of their Glastonbury headline set in 1995, few in the crowd had any idea who was replacing them until Pulp walked onstage. The likes of “Babies”, “Disco 2000” and ”Common People” cemented Pulp as one of the all time Glasto greats.
    1. David Bowie - 2000
"It's not about us, it's about them." David Bowie's words to his band, about the Glastonbury audience, just before they took to the stage in 2000. This really shows in what is one of the best Glastonbury performances, if not concerts, of all time. The majestic Bowie dons a coat designed by Alexander McQueen, with wavey blond hair, as he performs a hits-packed set that goes down as one of the all time legendary headliners.
