The Olympics may have been postponed but nobody can stop you having a bit of sporting fun in your own garden.

Try some of these classic games with your family:

 

Egg and Spoon Race

Hard boil an egg and run up and down the garden with it balanced on a spoon.

Equipment required: Eggs, Spoons. Duh.

 

Bean Bag Toss

Create some target areas and try to land bean bags inside them. Landing a bean bag in a smaller area earns more points.

Equipment required: Bean bags (available from eBay)

 

Paper Airplane Throwing

Select a design from Fold'NFly, build it, then take to the skies. It's all about the distance, but bonus points are available for selecting the most complicated design.

Equipment required: Paper

 

Shooting

Make some targets out of cardboard or old cans and shoot 'em down! Whoever hits the most targets wins.

Equipment required: Nerf Jolt or similar (available from eBay)

 

Egg Drop

If you've ever been on a team-building day, you've probably done this one. But it can also be played individually. Use the materials below to try to stop your egg from breaking when thrown out of a bedroom window.

Equipment required: Eggs, Cardboard, Paper Straws, Tape
