Following the nationwide release of the Motion Picture “Military Wives”, the much-loved Military Wives Choirs have announced they will be performing together in widely anticipated 8 date concert series. The renowned choirs will be performing in cities up and down the country, including Birmingham, York, Nottingham, London, Inverness, Ipswich, Bournemouth and Edinburgh.
Now with over 2,000 members, the Military Wives Choirs is a charity that brings all women in the military community (not just wives) closer together and empowers them through singing across the UK and overseas. Since the original choirs, which featured in Gareth Malone’s BBC television series ‘The Choir’, and obtaining their first UK Christmas No. 1 single with ‘Wherever you are’, the Military Wives Choirs have released a number of albums and become an acclaimed and much-loved artist.
The October 2020 concert series will see the choirs performing some of their most popular hits alongside tracks from the film’s soundtrack ‘Military Wives’, out today, which coincides with the film’s release, starring BAFTA-winning actor Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan. The soundtrack features choral favourites from the real-life Military Wives Choirs and new tracks by the on-screen cast, celebrating the shared experiences of the women whose lives were changed forever by conflict.
