We are looking forward to seeing you all at Insomnia61 in August, we wanted to let you know about our planned event at Christmas this year. 2016 saw a number of you say the event timing wasn't right that you felt it was too close to Christmas with the costs of the whole event being to close to a time where personal budgets are stretched. As such we have looked at alternative locations and have not been able to find anything that makes the event work from a dates and also cost perspective, we are always keen to make our events as cost effective for the community and exhibitors. Looking to the future we are revisiting options for a dedicated LAN event over the last 2 weeks in November from 2018 onward and we are looking to see if we can make this slightly bigger to accommodate a few more people. We look forward to seeing you in August for what will be another great Insomnia.
Parking charges are as follows: BYOC - £5 for the duration of the event, Weekend festival - £5 per day, Day visitor - £5 per day, Car parking is not available to book in advance. Insomnia will have designated car parks, these will be signposted.
We do not provide concessions, however we can provide a free carer ticket for those who receive Disability Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payments. In order to gain a carer ticket, please contact our ticket agent with a scan or picture of the attendee's DLA/PIP letter, the attendee's order number (found on their eticket) and the carer's full name and email address.
Yes, anyone coming into the event needs a ticket. For those who just wish to wait or pick up from the event, there are public areas with seating outside the halls.
Yes, there are cloakrooms which will charge £1 per item and will be open during show hours.
Items cannot be left overnight, any items left at the end of the day will be transferred to lost property.

· Day, family and weekend tickets for Insomnia events are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once purchased.
· BYOC tickets may be cancelled up to 30 days before the event, after which they are non-refundable.
· To cancel a BYOC booking, you must contact Ticket Factory by calling 0844 581 0800
· This Insomnia Gaming Festival refund and cancellation policy will apply to all tickets purchased on or after 7th May 2017.

Unfortunately not, tickets are non transferable between events.
You may bring small snack items and soft drinks for your own personal consumption, but please note that there are no facilities to keep food that requires refrigeration or re-heating. We do not allow mini-fridges or kettles to be plugged into the power sources in the LAN halls.
There are ample catering facilities onsite which include Martin's Newsagents, the tuck, restaurant and various food kiosks.
As a BYOC attendee you need to bring:-
· Tower/console/laptop · Monitor (just one please unless you have a VIP ticket!)
· Headset (no speakers please!)
· Mouse mat
· Kensington Lock (highly recommended for both PC and Monitor)
· A SURGE PROTECTED Four way power strip
· Wash kit
· Tent (weights)
· Sleeping bag
Day Visitors - you do not need ID to check-in, only to purchase alcohol onsite
Weekend & BYOC visitors - adults are required to bring ID in order to check-in
Any child aged 6 or under is given free access to the show, they do not require a ticket.
Yes, you are welcome to take pictures or film within the event as much as you like, provided you do not plan to use anything for commercial purposes. However, if you are going to film other people we suggest you get their permission first.
By entering the festival site you agree to grant the Event permission to use your image in any publicity, marketing or promotional materials.
Must arrive before the show starts, we can not guarantee entrance once the show has began. Meet and greet timings will be announced on the day via our Twitter channel @MultiplayEvents. We are limited to to capacity allowances and can not guarantee you will be seen for a meet and greet.

If you are planning to make use of a tent, you will need to bring your own. We strongly recommend bringing a pop-up tent as you will require weights to pitch other tents. However, you do also have the option of bringing an airbed/campbed/roll mat to set up in the hall.
We have changed the way camping now works at insomnia. Tickets will now be sold on a pitch size, not a per person. The pitch size options are:
Lone Wolf - 4 sqm (1.7m x 2.4m) size with 1 ticket
Group - 6 sqm (3m x 2m) size with 2 tickets
Clan - 9 sqm (3m x 3m) size with 3 tickets
Guild - 12 sqm (3m x 4m) size with 4 tickets
We recommend you bring a tent which fits the space allocation per pitch as these dimensions have been taken from average sizes for tents fitting that amount. You will not be allowed to use any space outside of your allocated area. You will be allocated your pitch when you check-in at the camping hall, if you wish to camp next to friends who have a separate pitch you will need to arrive at the same time. Get there early to avoid disappointment.
There will be individual electric showers available in the Indoor sleeping area as well as communal changing facilities, toilets are available across the NEC Venue.
Nobody under the age of 16 will be permitted to use the Indoor Camping Area regardless of who they attend with. You are required to bring ID in order to collect your indoor camping wristband.
Photo ID or a copy of your birth certificate is required for indoor camping
