The Cerebral Palsy Football World Championships 2015 is being staged at The FA's National Football Centre, the iconic St. George's Park, home of English Football. The Championships are taking place from Tuesday 16th June - Sunday 28th June 2015 and will see 16 qualifiers from around the world compete for the title to become World Champions. This will be the biggest disability football tournament to be held in the UK since London 2012.
There will be 48 matches over the 12 days of competition. Teams will be divided into four groups of four, with the top two progressing to challenge for the title and the third and fourth placed going into secondary play-off fixtures to determine ranks 9-16. This tournament comes with an added incentive, as it is also the main qualification tournament for the 2016 Paralympic Games, taking place in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
This is a fantastic opportunity to watch elite disability football and experience St George’s Park. There are many exciting fixtures to look forward to including England versus Japan in the opening game, current World and Paralympic Champions Russia against Republic of Ireland and a repeat of the thrilling London 2012 Paralympic Semi-Final match of Ukraine versus Iran.
The CPFWC 2015 offers a great affordable day out with incredible live sporting action and an explosive atmosphere all taking place within a compact world-class venue. Tickets will be available to purchase for single matches as well as bundle options. Group packages are also available.
