Founded in 2013 as a legacy to the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, the Müller Anniversary Games is a world-leading athletics meeting which attracts the biggest names in the sport.
Forming part of the worldwide IAAF Diamond League tour, this year’s Müller Anniversary Games takes place on Saturday 20 & Sunday 21 July and has seen both British and international stars confirmed to compete.
Saturday’s action sees triple-European champion and British sprint star Dina Asher-Smith take to the track in her home city, with international stardust being added courtesy of the likes of World 100m hurdles champion Sally Pearson of Australia and the highly-decorated triple jump star Christian Taylor of the USA. Britain’s golden endurance girl Laura Muir will also take to the track on the same day to run over 1500m.
400m world record holder and Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk of South Africa will compete as part of Sunday’s action.
A key meeting in the countdown to the World Championships later this year in Doha and the Olympic and Paralympic Games at Tokyo 2020, the Müller Anniversary Games will once again showcase the world’s best athletes.
