2008 "Magic As Ever" Tour on sale now

The world famous Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their 2008 Magic as Ever world tour to The NIA on Saturday 17 May.

Basketball’s original ‘Dream Team’ will be taking on their great rivals the Washington Generals during a two-hour show, which will showcase high-flying slam dunks and amazing ball skills combined with breathtaking athleticism.

The Washington Generals endured countless defeats at the hands of the Globetrotters and they closed their camp in 1995. Since then the New York Nationals have been taking a crack at defeating the Globetrotters (unsuccessfully) ever since.

But now the Generals are back under owner Red Klotz and Klotz is convinced he has the finest group of basketball players he’s ever assembled in his efforts to get over the hump against his arch rivals.

The Globetrotters will perform more than 230 shows in over 150 North American cities ahead of the world tour.

“The Harlem Globetrotters are the unbeatable global entertainment experience that emotionally connects to and thrills every member of the family,” said Globetrotters CEO Kurt Schneider. “We are extremely excited about the upcoming world tour and bringing our unique brand of entertainment to families in the UK.”

Celebrating their 82nd consecutive year of touring the world, the Harlem Globetrotters, who were formed by Englishman Abe Saperstein, have played in 118 countries on six continents, entertaining over 125 million fans and crossing barriers between cultures, societies and people from all walks of life. The organisation is one of only six teams to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Approximate running times:
